Unexpected job!

A friend of mine connected me with a job, that turned out to be a two day job after I was asked to come back. I'm not really going to say what it was for exactly but it was a wonderful experience, even though I was a newb & had no real experience prior.
Travel channel was filming nearby &  I was able to help on set. I was able to spend time with great people the director and assistant director. The hours were crazy & I had no time for anything accept coming home finishing the job & getting sleep- hoping it was enough for the next day. Another problem I faced while on this job was the food they provided was not so great... for breakfast one morning they only had coffee *I don't drink coffee* and bags and bags of McDonalds breakfast sandwiches McMuffins I think?  (although the 1st day they did have a bowl of fruit, I had a banana).

the show comes out in april & maybe I'll talk about it more then :] I have some pretty nice pictures from set.

ALRIGHTY!!!! so before my streak of busy-ness mr roommate her sister and I went to a park in St.Pete!
It was beautiful there.

Starting Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred

Today as day one of the workout and I can feel it... I haven't been working out as regularly as I was before- this was a wakeup call. The 1st level  will hopefully start getting easier but for now it's hard, but when I finish the 20+ minute workout I feel great about myself.

I know I'll be feeling this in the morning too!
Just wanted to post a quick update :]

BLENDER TIME!

Hamilton Beach Single-Serve Blender

Recently one of my roommates moved out & took along her blender... I was probably the only one that used it hahha (so I decided to get myself a new kitchen toy!)
There was a budget, it was small, I was able to find one that fit the budget!  It was perfect for what I was looking for. The blender small self serve, good for your own personal shake/drink of choice. I was also surprised how fast it broke down everything I put in my shakes, frozen banana, frozen strawberry, shake powder, ice, jelly & peanut butter. The blender comes with one button "pulse".. no fancy options that seemed to do the same thing in the end anyway. :p There is a feature to wrap the cord around the bottom so it's not laying around outside on the counter, easy to put away. So far I'm happy with it, the only thing I need to adjust to is the amount of content I put inside the blender :] fills up faster than you think! * this is after being used to a family-sized/ regular blender... this is for one drink- good for me.
The lid
Ready to drink, from the blender
The bottom allows you to wrap the cord into the bottom :]
Picasa has changed & I'm not sure I want to deal with it anymore if I don't have to... how do you all upload your photos from? I've noticed that even when you are uploading from your computer & haven't seleced picasa..you are using Picasa. I need to see if flickr has a way to easily post pictures onto blogger. I'd much rather go through flickr!

Relaxing Sunday

Where we went for dinner this afternoon! Picture from-
http://scalawagjourneystampabay.blogspot.com/2009/06/hob-nob-sarasota-fl.html
I wish i had brought my camera.. I always regret not taking it :] I should know by now to listen to those feelings! Anyways the sky was a wonderful pink glowing color right behind the Hob Nob.

My weigh-ins keep getting delayed! I need to set an alarm to remember! I usually 1st thing in the morning just step on- every thursday! I weighed myself after dinner and it read 176.6! I just want an accurate number to go by..but til then that's what it is. Maybe I did gain that much?? I'd just like to know! I have a reminder set for myself now :}

Welcome Vacation! Final week is over!

The Fair!

Some pictures from The Fair that came recently (last weekend). I always forget how expensive everything is at those... the tickets to get int plus tickets for each ride...haha it was still fun! Me and my roommate mostly watched the shows & visited some booths :]

The show we saw 1st was called The Pork Chop Revue
http://www.porkchoprevue.com/

this little girl was adorable!

A little something I brought back!

Break is finally here, finally some time to relax and take a breather... that last week was a killer. Since yesterday there was a huge weight  lifted off my shoulders. It's a great feeling! I'm going to have to weigh myself tomorrow- I kept forgetting.

I sett my alarm to get up to help my roommate pack up ( she is moving out :{ ) for now I only have two roomies instead of 3 others! After I helped her pack it was my goal to straighten up and get some laundry done. Everything was neglected this past week! This blog FOR SURE!

anyways I have a month of break :}

Thanksgiving! {Back}

Great photo I found in ibtimes

*detail* of the painting I did for a friend

It's great to be back to where there is internet! My parents place must really dislike my computer... I was over there for a little more than a week. The net was kicking me on and off every other minute!

The day I had left :)

I came back the other night & went straight to the labs where I had to work an "all-nighter" to finish a project I thought i'd have time to work on at home. I brought everything I needed home & ended up not being able to use any of it. So, now I'm back with some free time {finally} and internet that works :)

That doesn't mean I had a lousy Thanksgiving at home! I had a great time with my family, my parents were very proud & said they could see a difference. I'm not sure how big of a difference it was from when I saw them last- it may have been about 20is lbs?

We also don't have a scale back home :o! Once I got home I weighed in & saw I had gained 0.8 lbs
{note: I usually weigh in when I wake up in the morning} when I got back it was later & after I had gone to get some dinner with my roommate who had picked me up. *I took the bus*

Photos from when I was home!
Our turkey, we almost couldn't find one...

The first thing I noticed in the kitchen was this great fruit bowl my parents put together. The avacados were used in the gaucamole I make everytime I go home { I tell them it's super easy to make...ut it seems to be more special this way- I don't mind}
The grapefruit were HUGE! Personally I'm not a fan...but I was told they were good!

My parents had gone to the farmers market, I normally don't eat figs..but I gave it a shot!
They were actually pretty great!

In the morning we fixed up the turkey for the oven! We used butter first then followed that with some paprika fr the color & the rest was duck sauce. :)

starting to boil the sweet-potatoes ..

Starting the cranberry sauce (with some apples)..

The stuffing { I tried a little bit}

End result of the turkey! didn't get many pictures :(
Stuffing!- we need a better recipe for next year, but it wasn't bad

The sweet-potatoe casarole was said to be the best side that night :)  It's always my favorite part (making it!)

My brother's girlfriend joined us this year & she made apple crumble.... I CAN'T DESCRIBE how fabulous this stuff was! I've never had apple crumble & I'm happt to say I didn't eat the whole container she brought over. hahah I actually had a very small helping & enjoyed it that way.

My brother's dog! WAITING FOR FOOD TO BE DROPPED! She has an underbite haha  I have another funny picture I'll have to get on here another time. She is too cute, I didn't get a picture of my other dog this time.

Everything's ready

Best part!

Another best.. that's a given though.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

23rd Weight Watcher Weigh-In!

Current weight: 274.0
Loss this week -1.4
Total Loss: -46
Starting weight: 320
274- This is still within the weight I've been fluctuating between.. but I'm happy there was a loss!
It's almost Thanksgiving & i'll be going home for a few days! I'm extremely excited to go back, see everyone, hug my dogs, cook for my family, see some friends, (I Wake up to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade... always... what a dork! haha). I love all that stuff & can't wait!
My favorite is seeing some classics... like Snoopy or some of the Muppets. One day I hope to see the parade in person!
hahah..

-ALSO, this doesn't mean go crazy on the food... I plan to keep track of myself & my points.

This weekend!

A few friends & I might be going to see Bob Saget Live!

Hopefully it works out... we will be buying tickets at the door.
This will be saturday :)

Dexter- awesome painting reference

While I was watching the latest episode( Season 6 Episode 7) of Dexter  ( I had to watch it late again :[ ) I realize i see Dexter & his brother pose at about 36:44 as American Gothic by Grant Wood

I hope I don't get in trouble for screencaping this
I just thought that was pretty cool, this season has really been comical.

Also, tomorrow is my weigh in day ( I wrote wedding day at first... what??) hope it's a loss!
I've been working on my portfolio and websites recently. Finals are fast approaching- can't wait to get those done!

Goodafternoon!

22nd WW Weigh In & Cute Floral Nails!

Current weight: 275.2
Total Loss: -44.8
Starting weight: 320
I'm a little sick of being stuck at 275 to 273... those numbers are really starting to get to me a bit...
Ahh... I think I need to change it up a bit..food and exercise wise! Instead of this discouraging me, I'll let this motivate me to get past these numbers! I want to hit my -50 lbs lost.... it's so close & there is more after that! :) It's exciting.

Last night I had some trouble sleeping - since I had some time and had already removed some worn nail polish from a while back. I was inspired by my roommates lovely nails and decided to paint my own!
I also got inspiration, from a few weeks ago, I saw some floral designs painted on nails - here are mine now!
 Roses at my fingertips!
I wasn't sure they were working till the last touch of green. After the green was added it pulled together :)

I'm very happy with them!

While I was painting my nails I was also watching a movie in my Netflix Queue "Lost in Austen" the title threw me off at first but then read the description "After a dispute with her boyfriend, Amanda lands in the 19th-century world of author Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. While helping the Bennet sisters find husbands, Amanda accidentally causes problems that could alter the course of the tale. Throughout this British series, Amanda must balance her feelings for Mr. Darcy (Elliot Cowan) with her responsibility to the one of the world's greatest love stories. " Truth is I started watching it with my roommate hours before & she couldn't get past the beginning ( it  started off too slow for her taste :P ) I still wanted to watch it later & I was happy I did! This movie was so cute & very funny at times.

Okay! I bought a skateboard... it was only $4.00
The purchase was justified in my mind like so
" WHOA! I don't know how to skateboard.. but I could learn..."
" A new activity...? sounds good to me"
" It's just a small dose of nostalgia! "
:)
The wheels even say "Rocket Power"!

Well.... now I have a kids skateboard!

It's 12:34 AM right now & someone is hammering away at something outside... I really feel like yelling at them. Maybe it's just headphone time... ( my window isn't opening so I can't yell at anyone) - I probably wouldn't be able to yell at anyone anyways, was never good at shouting

Goodnight!
