Matzo Ball Soup

Matzo Ball Soup with Potato & Mushrooms! :] This is what I made for dinner tonight... this morning I woke up with a bit of a sore throat. 1st thing I did was change the a/c filter, then decided I'd be making soup for myself tonight. Before it was time to make any dinner I was already feeling much better... sometimes it takes a while to get out of that morning drowsy-zombie-like state, right??

Even though I was feeling much better, I was pretty set on making and having some Matzo Ball Soup!
My brother used to call them bowling balls hahah....
SOUPS UP!
I didn't mind making this tonight because it's so easy!

I didn't have any carrots.. but I did get some mushrooms and potatoes yesterday

They were the tiny potatoes :] very cute

(packet 1) waited in the fridge for about 15 minutes before forming the balls...

boiling time!

I think the mushrooms and potatoes were a nice idea since I'm not much of a soup person

It really takes a certain day for me to want to make & eat some soup! This was a nice dinner :]

I was thinking about the book Stone Soup and Seinfeld while making dinner tonight :]

Have a good weekend!

Fresh Florida Oranges & blueberry wine! 36th WW Weigh-In

Staying the same-ish....

It's crazy when your state is known for something, like oranges, then  you find some of the produce in the market isn't local... hahah what?
I miss having orange trees around

Before hurricanes ruined our trees, we had several fruit trees on our yards. I remember spending an evening with my family making fresh orange juice for the house! :]

Anyways, I found some local oranges this week! I also was on the search for a blue wine bottle for a project I had last week.  It took a while but I found a blue bottle, it just so happened the wine was also from Florida :}.  Took a while to actually have  taste since I've been busy with projects. I decided to finally give it a try last night, just a sip, since I was still working on projects. The blueberry wine was actually very good!

here's their site!

also a link to a site showing a group visiting the winery :]

Afternoon update :]

Oranges, granola & turkey burgers.... ( can't be good eating the same thing everyday...)
That's been my diet for the past week. :/  It's not on purpose really, like a new thing to try. It's more like it was easy the first time..so lets do it again. I'm sick of it already :] I think we're going grocery shopping sometime soon.

GREEN MONSTER EXPERIENCE
I recently found several shake recipes "green monster"- the recipes call for spinach :] I made revisions to make it my own but it was actually very good!

It's surprising how fast a big bag of spinach goes!

I could see little green specks but I didn't taste anything  'spinachy'

I'll be trying this again sometime!
The small Hamilton beach blender I got... after a while of using it I realize it's probably not so great. I know * you get what you pay for -sometimes youa re lucky and find a real gem- * this wasn't what happened. The blender is fine for now.. I have 3 more month here, I'll probably give it to my parents. They already have a nice full-size mixer but I don't know who else I'd give this to when I'm done in school. I'll ofcourse tell them
Cons
1. it's small, you guys will probably never need it...
2. it smells like a "motor after pressing the button for less than 15 seconds..
Pros
1.It works fast though! so I have no trouble- even with frozen bananas and spinach leaves.
2. It's pink/ cute ? I guess that doesn't count for much :] haha

Owell! I'm usually more fortunate when buying things like this..
I'll go for the real blender next time. I'm sure it will be worth it. PLUS by then I'll be working  ( let's hope).

Good evening!
Time for homework! & the never-ending list of ''TO DO's''
:)

35th WW Weigh- In & Happy Groundhogs Day!

Happy Groundhogs day!
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-buzz/post/groundhog-day-2012-dc-needs-local-punxsutawney-phil/2012/02/01/gIQA2sVnhQ_blog.html

I almost lost track on how many weeks it was. Since my WW online doesn't show my full time I had to re-count since I haven't been posting the number of weeks recently.
Current weight: 274.6
Loss this week -1
Total Loss: -45.4
Starting weight: 320
I've been staying the same/ fluctuating between the same few pounds. I'm happy I haven't been gaining though! Today I weighed in at 274.6 - almost back to my lowest so far- the lowest was 274.2.
Still haven't hit the 50 mark, hopefully that will be soon!

On another totally different note... I'm having weird pains...almost like my monthly pains/ cramps do you also get cramps days before you get your period? I don't remember this happening before, but I suppose it's what's happening. Just wondering.

Good afternoon!
